β¨ What Makes Northeast Minneapolis Special
The terrain slopes gently toward the Mississippi River, which means we sometimes deal with drainage issues on the lower lots.
The folks here are salt-of-the-earth types – lots of tradespeople, artists, and families who’ve been here for generations.
It’s just across the river from downtown but feels like a completely different world.
Natural Beauty
Community Feel
Convenience
From job sites near the river, you can see some great views of the water and downtown skyline. The soil here is interesting – mostly clay but with some sandy areas closer to the river.
You’ll notice the strong Eastern European roots in the architecture and the way people take care of their properties. It’s the kind of place where neighbors help each other out.
The location works because you get that small-town feel while still being close to everything – plus the commute to St. Paul is pretty easy for us.

- Β
“Foundation work in Northeast Minneapolis typically involves older homes with character. The soil here is clay-heavy with some sand pockets near the river, so we see water infiltration issues and some settling. We work with homeowners who appreciate craftsmanship and want to preserve the historic character of their homes. Some of the older foundations are fieldstone or early concrete that needs special attention.”
